Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A member of Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson of the United States Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was an election contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki began her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki was John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was the communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until the year 2006. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign for reelection. [20] Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State on February 11 2013. There was speculation Psaki would succeed Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to White House in 2015 to be the director of communications. She was with the Obama administration until its conclusion.
